What is the difference in quality between screen, sublimation and ink jet printing?

Nowadays, in the printing market, dye sublimation printing is quite wonderful and important of your business, but according to different customers’ request, screening printing and direct to fabric ink jet printing are also their choices.
If you are still confused in choosing which printing technology for your fabric, next is the differences for each:

1. If you're printing on fabric, dye-sublimation will yield the highest quality, but will work only on polyester. Dye-sub on fabric starts with an ink-jet print, so dye-sub is not a continuous-tone print.

Digital dye sublimation printing is done on a large high resolution printer that is in essence a very fancy color copy machine. It doesn't require plates, water, solvents or inks. Instead sublimation ink, sublimation paper and heat transfer machine are used. Depending on the machine, there are size limitations and the choice of paper is currently smaller.

Advantages and best situation for using sublimation printing: small quantity runs (1,000 and below), projects with tight deadlines (doesn't require time consuming pre-press), more environmentally friendly (no water usage and much less chemicals), prototyping (affordable testing and one-offs) and projects with small budgets.

2. Direct-to-fabric ink-jet printing looks great, but not as sharp as dye-sub. Fabric is a coarse canvas, and the inks tend to bleed, which lessens the resolution. You can print white ink on fabric using ink-jet textile printers.

3. Screen printing resolution is less than dye-sub and ink jet. Because screen printing necessitates a lot of setup, it is not practical to print one-off pieces, which is a big plus.

It is done with printing plates, inks and water and solvents. Before digital printing, it was and partly still is the most common form of reproduction.

Advantages and best situations for using offset printing: large quantities, specialty paper stock, large format printing, 1- and 2-color printing and high quality 4-color process reproduction (CMYK)

it's in no means intended to say which one is the best one, different ways depending on why you asked it. If you were only concerned about quality, I could choose dye sublimation printing, and if it was about price or how flexible the solution in general is, I would choose screening printing.
